10/26/10 We're Back!!!!
Yes it has been a long time since we posted information to the website.  Some of that was due to personal time constraints but most of it was because of the absolute radio silence from the developer.  For a long time we waited for the developer to submit plans to the mediation sessions.  That delay was over a year and the developer decided to broadcast the changes to the press before reviewing them at mediation.  Then the developer called an end to the mediation sessions insisting they wanted to go directly to Adjudication.  That was 16 months ago and now after just submitting the application to the DEC the developer again wants an approved project.
This has been the mode of operation since the beginning.  Enter into the permitting process and when it is not approved go away for months / years and then make a small insignificant change and ask for a completed application again.  Then when it is not approved - cry foul and blame everyone except yourself.
In the mean time the mud slinging continues in the papers and a group of local business men have organized to re-open Big Tupper Ski area.  We applaud the efforts of the ARISE group in organizing volunteers and operating the ski slope.  We wish they just did not have to sling so much mud about those who still have open questions about the project.  Questions that have been asked and not answered for - well - let's count - 6 years!!

We will post more about the recent developments, news articles and documents submitted by the applicant over the coming weeks.  Stay tuned and visit often for updates.

2/7/09 UPDATES:

"News Articles" page as well as the "Other Resorts" page to find new articles.
11/28/08 We have moved Updates that are older than one year to the "Timeline" page.
11/26/08 Happy Thanksgiving:  Two things to report today.

Article 78 Hearing: On Friday, November 21st the Office of the Attorney General's Environmental Protection Bureau filed a "Friend of the Court" legal brief and argument with the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department in Albany on behalf of the Department of Environmental Conservation.  You can read the brief in the "APA Documents" section or the "News Articles" Section.  By the way - that makes 400 postings in our news articles now.
Also there was an update from Dan McClelland in today's Free Press clarifying that Mike Foxman will still be the primary project sponsor and Tom Lawson will lead the actual development building. That article also indicated that there are now 4 partners in the project which include Mike Foxman, Tom Lawson, Jim Treadwell and one other not named.
See our new addition to the site: Tupper Pictures to keep you warm all winter in the "About TLLOWEB" page.
11/12/08 A Change is happening?  Today's Tupper Lake Free Press released an article reporting that Tom Lawson will now be the new face for the Adirondack Club and Resort.  We will bring you more news about it once it is confirmed through a trusted news source.
