6/26/09 See our new section on the "TLLOWEB Documents" page for "Suggested Reading and Viewing".  We will post suggestions here for books and videos related to this type of project.
6/23/09 ACR Mediation Ended: The Developer, Michael Foxman has ended the mediation and the process of Adjudication will resume.  Although most parties wanted to continue with the mediation, over two thirds of the participants refused to sign the mediation agreement Foxman drafted saying that it was too vague and open ended. Mr. Foxman then refused to continue with mediation.  News articles about this will be posted on the website in the following days.
5/27/09 After many years of asking for this data, the ACR has made part of the application information available on the internet.  You probably have seen most of this information and much more on our website however we wanted to make this link available to you.  To view their data visit http://www.thelagroup.com/tupper/ .  These files are very large so do not try to open them by double clicking the links.  You should right click on them and select "Save as" to download them to your PC.  Soon you will also find these files on our website on the APA Documents page.
3/15/09 We have updated the News Articles page with many new press releases including one from the APA about the Adjudicatory hearing.  In addition there are updates on the "Other Resorts" page about the Tamarack resort which recently closed.  The ripple effect to the town from it's closing will be devastating and Tupper Lake would be wise to learn from this lesson.
Stay Tuned for other updates.  Right now we are reviewing a book called "Downhill Slide" by Hal Clifford.  It is a very interesting read about the ski industry and how they gutted towns, the environment and the ski industry itself all in search of a short term profit.
We will be reviewing other materials like this and will develop a "Suggested Reading" section soon.
2/7/09 UPDATES:
There are many news article updates that have come out in the past few days.  Make sure to visit the
"News Articles" page as well as the "Other Resorts" page to find new articles.
11/28/08 We have moved Updates that are older than one year to the "Timeline" page.
11/26/08 Happy Thanksgiving:  Two things to report today.

Article 78 Hearing: On Friday, November 21st the Office of the Attorney General's Environmental Protection Bureau filed a "Friend of the Court" legal brief and argument with the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department in Albany on behalf of the Department of Environmental Conservation.  You can read the brief in the "APA Documents" section or the "News Articles" Section.  By the way - that makes 400 postings in our news articles now.
Also there was an update from Dan McClelland in today's Free Press clarifying that Mike Foxman will still be the primary project sponsor and Tom Lawson will lead the actual development building. That article also indicated that there are now 4 partners in the project which include Mike Foxman, Tom Lawson, Jim Treadwell and one other not named.
See our new addition to the site: Tupper Pictures to keep you warm all winter in the "About TLLOWEB" page.
11/12/08 A Change is happening?  Today's Tupper Lake Free Press released an article reporting that Tom Lawson will now be the new face for the Adirondack Club and Resort.  We will bring you more news about it once it is confirmed through a trusted news source.
